Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2190 (LINC02190) is a human long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA) that does not encode a protein, falling under the class of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) transcribed from genomic regions that do not overlap with protein-coding loci[1][3][7]. LINC02190 has been reported to be upregulated in the endometrium of patients with recurrent implantation failure (RIF) and functions by binding to the promoter region of the integrin alpha-D gene (ITGAD), thereby decreasing its expression and impairing embryo–endometrial attachment[2]. More broadly, lincRNAs such as LINC02190 may act via diverse mechanisms including chromatin remodeling, gene regulation, and modulation of mRNA stability[3][7]. At present, LINC02190 itself is not a direct therapeutic target, receptor, enzyme, or transporter, but is of interest as a potential biomarker and regulator in fertility-related disorders such as RIF[2]. There are no known drug interactions or safety concerns specific to LINC02190.
