Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2192 (LINC02192) is a member of the lincRNA subclass of long non-coding RNAs, defined as autonomously transcribed RNAs longer than 200 nucleotides that do not overlap protein-coding genes. lincRNAs are implicated in diverse biological functions such as regulation of gene expression, chromatin remodeling, and transcriptional control, often acting as molecular scaffolds or by modulating the stability and translation of RNA transcripts. Although the specific function of LINC02192 is not fully established, it has been identified via integrative transcriptomic analyses as one of several lncRNAs downregulated in lung cancer, suggesting potential as a diagnostic biomarker for non-small cell lung cancer. Like other lincRNAs, it may play roles in fine-tuning gene expression, but its therapeutic targeting or drug interactions have not been reported. The clinical utility of LINC02192 as a biomarker remains to be experimentally validated
