Target intelligence / Profile preview
LINC02222 (Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2222) is a human long intergenic non-coding RNA gene that produces a non-coding RNA transcript longer than 200 nucleotides and does not overlap any known protein-coding region[1][3]. lincRNAs as a class are involved in regulation of gene expression through mechanisms such as chromatin remodeling, RNA stabilization, transcription regulation, and post-transcriptional activity, but most lincRNAs, including LINC02222, remain poorly functionally characterized[3]. There is currently no evidence that LINC02222 acts as a therapeutic target, has disease associations, or interacts with drugs.
