Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2235 (LINC02235) is a non-coding RNA gene that produces a lincRNA, defined as an autonomously transcribed RNA longer than 200 nucleotides that does not overlap with protein-coding genes. LINC02235 belongs to a large family of lincRNAs, whose members generally remodel chromatin, regulate transcription, and serve as scaffolds for protein complexes, often affecting gene expression and cellular phenotype with notable tissue specificity. Although numerous lincRNAs have well-characterized and diverse regulatory functions in development and disease, there is currently no evidence of direct functional, disease, or therapeutic association documented for LINC02235 itself
