Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2305 (LINC02305)

LINC02305, also known as long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2305, is a human gene encoding a long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA). LincRNAs are transcripts longer than 200 nucleotides that do not overlap protein-coding genes and have limited or no protein coding potential. They are involved in diverse regulatory processes, including modulation of gene expression at the transcriptional and post-transcriptional level, often by acting as molecular sponges for microRNAs or recruiting chromatin-modifying complexes.
