Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2433 (LINC02433) is a human lincRNA gene, annotated in genome databases as a non-protein coding transcript. LincRNAs are typically more than 200 nucleotides in length, lack significant open reading frames, and do not overlap classical protein-coding regions. The broader class of lincRNAs is now recognized to shape chromatin, regulate transcriptional and post-transcriptional gene expression, and demonstrate cell– and tissue–specificity. Although some lincRNAs play important roles in disease, development, and gene regulation, there is currently no published evidence describing a specific function, disease association, or drug interaction for LINC02433 itself. LINC02433 remains an uncharacterized member of the human lincRNA family.
Not applicable. lincRNAs are not typical drug targets and drug mechanisms for this gene are currently unknown. Mechanistically, lincRNAs may modulate gene expression, chromatin structure, or act as scaffolds for protein complexes.
