Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2437 (LINC02437) is a human lincRNA gene. LincRNAs are a subclass of long non-coding RNAs greater than 200 nucleotides in length that do not overlap protein-coding regions and are typically transcribed from intergenic regions of the genome[1][5]. LINC02437 has been identified in systems-biology studies as being differentially expressed in cancers such as lung and breast cancer, and may be associated with cell proliferation and cell cycle regulation[4]. Like other lincRNAs, LINC02437 is presumed to regulate gene expression (for example, by interacting with chromatin-modifying complexes or acting as a molecular scaffold for protein and RNA interactions), but its specific molecular partners and mechanisms remain uncharacterized[3][5]. It is not currently considered a druggable therapeutic target (such as a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or transcription factor) and there are no drugs known to interact directly with it.
