Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2452 (LINC02452) is a member of the long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA) family, characterized by transcripts longer than 200 nucleotides that do not encode proteins and do not overlap known protein-coding genes[1][3][7]. LINC02452, like other lincRNAs, is believed to regulate gene expression at multiple levels, including chromatin state, transcription, and possibly post-transcriptionally, often acting in a cell type– or context-specific manner[3][5][7]. While certain lincRNAs have well-characterized roles in development or disease, most—including LINC02452—are still under investigation and are not currently considered direct therapeutic targets such as receptors, enzymes, or transporters[1][3]. However, expression changes in lncRNAs and lincRNAs are frequently observed in various cancers, and some studies include LINC02452 in molecular subtype analyses for diseases such as uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma[2]. There is currently no evidence that drugs directly target LINC02452, and its utility as a biomarker or safety concerns related to its modulation have not been established.
