Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2478 (LINC02478)

Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2478 (LINC02478) is a non-coding RNA gene that produces long RNA transcripts longer than 200 nucleotides, located in genomic regions that do not overlap with coding genes. Like other lincRNAs, its main functions are believed to be regulatory, fine-tuning expression of other genes through diverse mechanisms including chromatin remodeling, RNA-protein scaffolding, and transcriptional regulation, although specific biological or disease roles for LINC02478 have not been well characterized to date. There is currently no evidence that LINC02478 is used as a therapeutic target or is associated with specific diseases, biomarkers, or interacting drugs.
