Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2496 (LINC02496) is a gene encoding a long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA), a subclass of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) that are autonomously transcribed, longer than 200 nucleotides, and do not overlap protein-coding genes[1][3].
