Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2535 (LINC02535) is a long non-coding RNA that is upregulated in certain cancers, including poorly differentiated gastric cancer and lung adenocarcinoma. It promotes cancer cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and wound healing, while its inhibition leads to increased apoptosis in cancer cells[1][2]. Mechanistically, LINC02535 can act as a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA), sponging microRNAs such as miR-30a-5p and thereby upregulating targets such as GALNT3, leading to enhanced activity of oncogenic signaling pathways like NF-κB[2][4]. The expression of LINC02535 correlates with poor prognosis in patients with these cancers. There are currently no known approved drugs that directly interact with LINC02535, and it is not considered a canonical therapeutic target such as a receptor or enzyme.
