Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2563 (LINC02563) is a human long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene, officially named and approved by the HUGO Gene Nomenclature Committee (HGNC ID: HGNC:52923)[3][5][7]. Also known by aliases such as CRAT40 and cervical cancer-associated transcript 40, LINC02563 does not encode a protein but is believed to regulate gene expression at the transcriptional and/or post-transcriptional levels. Current research suggests a role in the progression of cancer, most notably cervical cancer, where its dysregulated expression has been associated with disease.[2][5][7] Evidence points to altered LINC02563 expression as a candidate biomarker for cervical cancer diagnosis or progression risk, but there are currently no known drug interactions, approved therapies, or established mechanisms of therapeutic targeting. LINC02563 is not classified as a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or classical drug target, but as a long non-coding RNA involved in cancer biology[1][3][5][7][8].
Not a direct therapeutic target; no approved or experimental drugs with defined mechanisms of action reported
