Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2570 (LINC02570) is a human long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene with the approved symbol LINC02570. It does not encode a protein. LINC02570 has been implicated in cancer biology, especially in nasopharyngeal carcinoma, where it promotes cancer progression by sponging the microRNA miR-4649-3p, leading to increased expression of lipid metabolism genes such as SREBP1 and FASN[1][11]. It is upregulated in nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissues and is believed to influence cell proliferation, viability, migration, and invasion. The gene is also known by the alias XXbac-BPG27H4.8 and is classified as a long non-coding RNA[3][7][9][11]. There are no approved drugs known to target LINC02570, and it is not currently considered a traditional therapeutic target such as a receptor, enzyme, or transporter.
