Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2585 (LINC02585)

Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2585 (LINC02585) is a long non-coding RNA, more specifically a long intergenic non-coding RNA, identified in the human genome. Like other lincRNAs, it is a non-protein-coding transcript longer than 200 nucleotides that does not overlap with protein-coding genomic regions[1][3][7]. LincRNAs as a class are known to regulate gene expression through diverse mechanisms, including chromatin remodeling, transcriptional regulation, and influencing RNA stability or translation, often in a tissue-specific manner[7]. LINC02585 is also known by the alias CELSR3-AS1[3]. There is currently no direct evidence that LINC02585 functions as a therapeutic target, interacts with drugs, or is used as a biomarker. While many lincRNAs play important roles in disease processes, such as cancer, specific functional or disease associations for LINC02585 have not yet been reported in the literature.
