Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2593 (LINC02593) is a human long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA) also known as AL645608.1. It is a transcript longer than 200 nucleotides that does not code for protein, and its function is presumed to involve regulation of gene expression at the RNA level, potentially by interacting with other nucleic acids or proteins. LINC02593 was identified as significantly differentially expressed in human endometrial stromal fibroblast cells during decidualization—a process critical for successful pregnancy—but its precise function in this context is unknown[4]. In acute myeloid leukemia (AML), decreased expression of LINC02593 was associated with better prognosis in a multivariate Cox regression-based risk model, suggesting its potential utility as a prognostic biomarker[2]. There are currently no reports of direct drug interactions or therapeutic targeting, and mechanistic and functional studies for this lincRNA are lacking.
