Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2599 (LINC02599) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene found in Homo sapiens, also known as AC026904.1[3][5]. LINC02599 belongs to the class of lncRNAs, a diverse set of transcripts that do not encode proteins but can play regulatory roles in gene expression, chromatin modification, and epigenetic regulation[9]. While many lncRNAs, such as HOTAIR and MALAT1, are well-studied for their roles in cancer progression and prognosis, there is currently no published evidence that specifically implicates LINC02599 as a molecular target, biomarker, or druggable entity. No direct involvement in disease or therapeutic response has been established for LINC02599, and there are no reported interacting drugs, clinical biomarkers, or safety concerns. The function of LINC02599 remains largely uncharacterized, in line with many lesser-known lncRNAs.
