Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2627 (LINC02627) is a member of the lincRNA subclass of long non-coding RNAs, defined by their intergenic location and lack of coding potential. LincRNAs, including LINC02627, are transcribed RNA molecules larger than 200 nucleotides that do not encode proteins but can be involved in the regulation of gene expression, chromatin organization, and potentially other aspects of genome function in a tissue- and context-dependent manner.
