Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2812 (LINC02812) is a human long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA) gene, which is defined as a non-coding RNA longer than 200 nucleotides that does not overlap any coding gene[1][5][7]. LincRNAs in general serve a range of important regulatory functions, such as modulating chromatin structure, governing transcription, and influencing RNA stability[1][3]. Although thousands of lincRNAs exist in the human genome, only a minority have been extensively characterized for specific cellular or disease roles. LINC02812 itself does not encode a protein, and based on current scientific databases and literature, there is no evidence it functions as a direct therapeutic target (e.g., receptor, enzyme, transporter), no drugs are known to interact with it, and it is not considered a biomarker or associated with known safety concerns[5][7]. As with other lincRNAs, continuing research may reveal further biological roles or disease associations in the future.
