Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 3077 is a lincRNA gene encoded on the X chromosome (Xq21.33) and also referred to as RP11-485F13.1[1][3][5]. LincRNAs are a class of non-coding RNAs longer than 200 nucleotides that do not overlap protein-coding regions[7]. While the majority of specific functions for LINC03077 are not characterized in the literature, lincRNAs as a group are increasingly recognized as regulatory molecules, capable of influencing gene expression at different levels—transcription, chromatin state, or RNA processing[7]. Some lincRNAs have been implicated in disease processes—such as cancer, developmental defects, and neurological disorders—but currently there are no clear data linking LINC03077 to particular biological processes, disease roles, or therapeutic interactions[7]. There is no evidence that LINC03077 is an established therapeutic target, receptor, enzyme, transporter, or biomarker.
