Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 313 (LINC00313) is a member of the lincRNA family, defined as a long non-coding RNA transcribed from intergenic regions and not overlapping with annotated protein-coding genes[9][6]. These transcripts are usually spliced, capped, and polyadenylated, and while some lincRNAs have been shown to play important biological roles, most—including LINC00313—are not yet functionally characterized[7][9]. LincRNAs generally function in regulation of gene expression at multiple levels (chromatin modification, transcriptional control, post-transcriptional modulation) and may act as molecular scaffolds, sponges, or decoys for other RNAs or proteins[1][5][9]. LINC00313 is annotated on chromosome 21, has no reported protein-coding potential, and is not currently classified as a direct therapeutic target, biomarker, or disease gene.
