Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 3145 (LINC03145), also known as CRART16 or cetuximab resistance-associated RNA transcript 16, is a long intergenic noncoding RNA shown to be upregulated in cetuximab-resistant colorectal cancer cells[2][4][6]. It acts as a competing endogenous RNA by sponging miR-371a-5p, leading to increased ERBB3 expression and downstream activation of the MAPK signaling pathway, contributing to both drug resistance and the acquisition of cancer stemness properties. CRART16 serves as a biomarker for cetuximab resistance and is considered a potential therapeutic target for overcoming resistance in colorectal cancer[2][4][6].
