Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 330 (LINC00330) is a human long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene implicated in the regulation of tumor biology, especially via modulation of immune cell behavior and tumor microenvironment. LINC00330 has been shown to inhibit tumor progression in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma by promoting the polarization of tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) from a tumor-promoting (M2) to a tumor-suppressing (M1) phenotype and by suppressing CCL2 signaling. Its reduced expression is associated with tumor aggressiveness and poor clinical outcomes in several cancers. LINC00330 also promotes the expression of epithelial markers while inhibiting mesenchymal markers, thereby limiting epithelial–mesenchymal transition and metastasis. LINC00330 is not currently known to be directly druggable nor does it interact with known small-molecule drugs, but its expression patterns support its use as a biomarker for cancer prognosis and potentially as a therapeutic target in future RNA-based therapies[1][2][3][5][7].
