Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 377 (LINC00377) is a lincRNA gene transcribed in humans that does not encode protein. It is implicated as a biomarker in cancer research, especially breast cancer (BRCA), where it is part of several prognostic and risk score models. LINC00377 acts primarily via chromatin remodeling, regulation of transcription, and potentially epigenetic fine-tuning of nearby gene expression. It has been associated with ABCA10 and CCNB1 gene expression and may have roles in regulating cellular phenotypes, but its detailed mechanism and clinical significance are still being elucidated. There are currently no drugs that modify or target LINC00377, nor is it considered a therapeutically actionable receptor, enzyme, or similar molecule.
