Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 382 (LINC00382)

Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 382 (LINC00382) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene located on chromosome 13, annotated in multiple human genome resources[3][11][13]. It belongs to the family of long intergenic non-protein coding RNAs (lincRNAs), which are a subclass of lncRNAs characterized by their position between protein-coding genes and lack of coding potential[7][13]. The primary reported aliases are LINC00382 and TCONS_00021500[9][11]. Unlike protein-coding gene targets, LINC00382 does not have a known therapeutic target role, nor is it a canonical receptor, enzyme, transporter, or disease biomarker.
