Target intelligence / Profile preview
LINC00412 (long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 412) is a human long non-coding RNA gene located on chromosome 13, involved primarily in the regulation of gene expression and cellular behavior. High expression levels of LINC00412 are consistently associated with reduced breast cancer tumor grade, estrogen receptor positivity, favorable molecular subtypes, and improved patient survival; these findings are supported by large clinical datasets and experimental evidence. LINC00412 acts as a tumor suppressor, and its expression is regulated predominantly by promoter DNA methylation rather than copy number variation. While its utility lies in its potential as a prognostic biomarker for breast cancer, especially grade 2 tumors, it is not considered a pharmacologically actionable target and thus has no known drug interactions or safety concerns relating to direct clinical targeting.
Not applicable. No drugs are known to act on this molecule directly.
