Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 427 (LINC00427) is a member of the long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA) family, defined as a non-coding RNA transcript longer than 200 nucleotides that is transcribed from regions of the genome that do not overlap known protein-coding genes[1][3]. LincRNAs have diverse biological roles including gene expression regulation, chromatin remodeling, maintaining genome architecture, and serving as scaffolds for protein complexes[1][5]. While lincRNAs as a class have been implicated in tissue-specific gene regulation and disease processes, there is no specific evidence supporting LINC00427 as a direct therapeutic target, disease biomarker, or drug-interacting RNA, and its disease roles remain to be fully characterized at the time of this review[3][1].
