Overview

Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 595 (LINC00595) is a long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA) in humans, located on chromosome 10 and transcribed as various non-protein coding RNA isoforms. It does not code for protein and is classified among the lncRNAs, which are transcripts over 200 nucleotides in length with limited or no coding potential. LINC00595 has been identified in some studies as an immunomodulatory factor in monocytes during the response to fungal infection, suggesting it may participate in the regulation of immune responses. However, there is no evidence that LINC00595 serves as a therapeutic target, nor are there known drugs or therapeutic interventions directed at this RNA. Like many lincRNAs, its precise biological roles remain to be studied, but it is implicated in gene regulation processes as part of the broader non-coding RNA landscape.
