Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 845 (LINC00845) is a non-coding RNA gene producing RNA transcripts longer than 200 nucleotides that do not overlap with protein-coding genes. As a member of the lincRNA family, it does not encode a protein but may contribute to chromatin remodeling, transcriptional regulation, and the fine-tuning of gene expression, and is likely to exhibit tissue specificity.
