Overview

Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 892 (LINC00892) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) predominantly expressed in immune cells, particularly activated T cells such as T follicular helper (TFH) cells, both in normal lymphatic tissues and in follicular lymphoma[1][3][4]. Its expression is strongly upregulated following T cell activation and is tightly correlated with immune markers such as CD40LG[1][3]. LINC00892 has been shown to inhibit cell proliferation, migration, and invasion, and to promote apoptosis in lung adenocarcinoma models, functioning as a tumor suppressor partly by modulating immune cell infiltration and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT)[2]. Its restricted expression in memory/activated T cells, association with patient prognosis in cancer, and potential use as a tissue biomarker make LINC00892 a candidate molecular target for cancer diagnostics and possibly future immunotherapy, though there are no known direct drug interactions or clinical inhibitors currently identified[2][3][4].
