Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 898 (LINC00898)

Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 898 (LINC00898) is a long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) located on chromosome 22 (chr22:47612231-47631569, GRCh38), with no protein-coding function[7][1][3][5]. LINC00898 belongs to the lncRNA molecular class, a family of RNA genes that do not encode proteins but can regulate gene expression through various mechanisms such as chromatin modification, transcriptional interference, and acting as sponges for microRNAs[5]. There is no direct evidence that LINC00898 itself is a therapeutic target or that it modulates drug activity.
