Overview
Long non-coding RNA AP001631.9 (LncRNA-AP001631.9), also called FOXM1-regulated, gastric cancer associated (FRGCA), is a long non-coding RNA whose expression is upregulated in gastric cancer primarily through positive regulation by the transcription factor FOXM1. Increased levels of this lncRNA are correlated with enhanced migration, proliferation, and metastasis capacities of gastric cancer cells in vitro and in mouse models. Knockdown of LncRNA-AP001631.9 suppresses these aggressive phenotypes, suggesting a role in tumor progression and potential as a therapeutic target or biomarker for disease prognosis. No clinically approved drugs target this molecule at present[1][4].
