FLJ30679, also known as long non-coding RNA FLJ30679, is a member of the lncRNA molecular family and is not a protein-coding gene[5]. It does not function as a classical therapeutic target such as a receptor, enzyme, or transporter, but rather plays a role in the regulation of gene expression at the RNA level. FLJ30679 has been shown to promote the proliferation and migration of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) cells. Knockdown of FLJ30679 impairs the ability of OSCC cells to proliferate and migrate, while overexpression enhances these cancer-associated phenotypes. Mechanistically, FLJ30679 modulates the expression of genes involved in the epithelial-mesenchymal transition and activates the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway, both of which are associated with cancer progression[1][2]. There is currently no evidence for FLJ30679 serving as a direct target for any approved drugs, nor is there information supporting its use as a biomarker or indication of safety concerns for therapeutic intervention.
