Low Affinity Immunoglobulin Epsilon Fc Receptor (CD23)

Target
CD23
Molecular classification
Receptor, Type II transmembrane glycoprotein, C-type lectin superfamily
01

Overview

CD23 is the low-affinity receptor for IgE antibodies. It is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein involved in regulating IgE levels, antigen presentation, cell adhesion, and immune modulation. It plays a central role in allergic diseases and may be a therapeutic target for allergic and autoimmune conditions. Soluble forms of CD23 (sCD23) can bind IgE and have cytokine-like activities.
