Overview

Low-density lipoprotein receptor class A domain-containing protein 1 (LDLRAD1) is a member of the LDL receptor family that is predicted to be membrane-localized and structurally contains a class A (complement-type ligand binding) domain. While its precise molecular and physiological roles remain uncharacterized, genetic studies have implicated LDLRAD1 in disease susceptibility, including risk for breast cancer, coronary heart disease, and Parkinson’s disease, suggesting potential relevance in diverse biological processes and disease mechanisms. However, its function, mechanisms of action, and druggability have not yet been established in the literature[2][3][5].
