Target intelligence / Profile preview
LPP antisense RNA 1 (LPP-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA transcribed in the antisense direction to the LPP (LIM domain containing preferred translocation partner in lipoma) gene locus. It does not encode a protein, and its functional roles remain poorly defined in current research literature. There is no clear evidence that LPP-AS1 directly participates in disease processes or is targeted by current therapeutic drugs. While other antisense lncRNAs have been implicated in gene expression regulation and disease, specific functional, pathological, or therapeutic data for LPP-AS1 are very limited or lacking.
Not applicable; there are no drugs targeting this molecule, so no described mechanism of action.
