Target intelligence / Profile preview
Lymphocyte antigen 6 complex, locus E (LY6E) is a GPI-anchored cell surface protein belonging to the Ly6/uPAR superfamily. It is involved in immune regulation, signal transduction, cell adhesion, drug resistance and modulation of HIV-1 infection. Overexpression is associated with poor prognosis in several cancers, particularly gastric cancer where it promotes cell survival, proliferation, and migration.
