Target intelligence / Profile preview
Lyn kinase is a member of the Src family of non-receptor protein tyrosine kinases. It is highly expressed in hematopoietic cells and plays a crucial role in regulating both innate and adaptive immune responses. It acts as a "rheostat" controlling activation versus inhibition via phosphorylation of ITAMs and ITIMs. Dysregulation of Lyn is implicated in autoimmune diseases and certain leukemias, making it a therapeutic target.
HSP90 inhibitors destabilize Lyn kinase affecting growth/survival via NF-kappaB pathway inhibition.
