Lyn is a non-receptor tyrosine-protein kinase and a member of the Src family kinases, primarily expressed in hematopoietic cells. It plays a central role in regulating immune cell signaling by acting as both an activator and inhibitor, depending on the cellular context. Altered Lyn activity is implicated in autoimmune diseases, leukemia, and sarcoma.
