Target intelligence / Profile preview
Lysine-specific demethylase 4B (KDM4B) is a histone lysine demethylase that specifically removes methyl groups from trimethylated lysine 9 on histone H3 (H3K9me3), playing a key role in the regulation of gene expression through epigenetic modification of chromatin structure. It is involved in cell proliferation and differentiation, especially in neural tissues and dysregulation has been implicated in various cancers.
