Lysophosphatidic Acid Receptor (LPAR)

Target
LPAR
Molecular classification
G protein-coupled receptor
01

Overview

Lysophosphatidic acid receptors (LPARs) are a family of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) that mediate the cellular effects of lysophosphatidic acid (LPA). LPARs play critical roles in regulating cell proliferation, survival, migration, cytoskeletal rearrangement, calcium mobilization, and other key physiological processes. Altered expression or activity of specific receptor subtypes has been linked to pathologies such as cancer progression/metastasis, nervous system disorders, cardiovascular disease, metabolic dysfunction, and inflammatory conditions.
