Lysyl-tRNA synthetase 1 pseudogene 3 (KARS1P3) is annotated as a pseudogene related to the functional lysyl-tRNA synthetase 1 gene (KARS1). Pseudogenes are genomic sequences similar to protein-coding genes but typically lack the ability to encode functional proteins due to the accumulation of disabling mutations.
