Recepteur d'Origine Nantais (RON), also known as MST1R or Macrophage-stimulating protein receptor, is a receptor tyrosine kinase belonging to the MET proto-oncogene family. Upon activation by its ligand MSP/HGFL, RON mediates cellular processes such as cell adhesion, invasion, motility, and apoptosis regulation. Aberrant expression and activation of RON are implicated in tumor progression and metastasis, making it a therapeutic target for various cancers. Anti-RON antibody-drug conjugates are under investigation.
