MAD2 mitotic arrest deficient-like 1 pseudogene (Ensembl: ENSG00000260797, commonly referred to as MAD2L1P1) is a non-coding genomic sequence related to MAD2L1, the gene encoding the mitotic spindle assembly checkpoint protein. Pseudogenes such as MAD2L1P1 do not code for functional proteins and are generally considered remnants of gene duplication or retrotransposition events. In contrast to its protein-coding paralog, the MAD2L1 pseudogene has no established biological function, molecular classification as a druggable target, or clinical relevance in disease or therapeutics.
