MADD antisense RNA 1 (MADD-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) transcribed from the opposite strand of or near the MADD gene locus. There are no peer-reviewed research publications directly characterizing the function, biological role, or disease association of MADD-AS1. Based on naming conventions and genomic annotation, it is presumed to be an antisense RNA that may be involved in transcriptional or post-transcriptional regulation of the MADD gene or neighboring genes, but there is currently no evidence it functions as a protein, receptor, enzyme, or druggable target[1]. There is no information about its therapeutic targeting, disease biomarker potential, drug interactions, or mechanisms of action in the literature. - MADD-AS1 is not a protein, receptor, transporter, enzyme, or established signaling pathway component. It is not a validated therapeutic target. - The existence and putative annotation as an antisense lncRNA may be correct, but supporting functional or biomedical data are lacking. - There is no evidence of misspelling, but there is insufficient information to establish meaningful structured data for downstream use in biomedical target databases.
