MAGI2 antisense RNA 1 (MAGI2-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA encoded on the antisense strand of the MAGI2 locus. It falls within the lncRNA molecular class and functions primarily in gene regulation, often by modulating transcription and RNA stability. Expression of MAGI2-AS1 is implicated in various biological processes, most notably tumor suppression or promotion in a tissue-specific manner, including an association with lip cancer. To date, there are no documented therapeutic agents or interventions specifically targeting MAGI2-AS1, nor is it recognized as a classic pharmacological target such as a receptor, enzyme, or transporter[1][6].
