Overview

Major facilitator superfamily domain-containing 14C pseudogene (MFSD14CP, previously known as HIATL2 and MFSD14C, also referred to as SLC71A3P) is a human pseudogene that is classified within the major facilitator superfamily (MFS) of solute carrier transporters. While members of the MFS are typically responsible for the transport of a wide variety of substrates across biological membranes, MFSD14CP is annotated as a pseudogene and is not currently known to express a functional protein product in humans. Therefore, it is not considered a therapeutic target or a functional receptor/transporter. There is no evidence for biological function, disease association, or interaction with drugs at this locus.
