HLA-DR10 refers to a specific serotype and protein of the human leukocyte antigen (HLA) system, belonging to the class II major histocompatibility complex (MHC) family. It is comprised of an alpha and beta chain (with DRB1*1001 as the defining beta chain), and is expressed on antigen-presenting cells such as B lymphocytes. HLA-DR10 presents exogenous peptide antigens to CD4+ T helper cells, which is essential for adaptive immune responses. The DR10 serotype is implicated in predisposition to certain autoimmune and malignant diseases, and has been experimentally targeted using antibodies (such as Lym-1) and synthetic peptide-like ligands. HLA-DR10 is notable for its high polymorphism and immunological specificity
