Target intelligence / Profile preview
MALL pseudogene 2 (MALLP2) is classified as a pseudogene, which is a genomic sequence resembling the protein-coding gene MALL but is generally non-functional and does not encode a functional protein. Most pseudogenes, including MALLP2, are not considered therapeutic targets, nor are they involved directly in biological pathways or disease mechanisms. Pseudogenes may have regulatory functions at the RNA level in rare cases, but there is no evidence that MALLP2 is involved in such processes, nor is it implicated in any disease or used as a drug target in clinical practice[1][2][4][5]. MALLP2 is not found in major disease or pharmacology databases as a validated molecular target.
