Overview

MARK2 pseudogene 10 (MARK2P10) is a processed pseudogene identified by homology to the protein-coding gene MARK2, which is a serine/threonine kinase involved in cell polarity, microtubule dynamics, and various signaling pathways[4][5]. Unlike MARK2, MARK2P10 is not known to produce any functional protein product and has no established biological or disease association. Pseudogenes such as MARK2P10 typically arise through duplication or retrotransposition events and generally accumulate mutations that disable protein expression. There is no evidence that MARK2P10 has any role as a biomarker, drug target, or disease gene, nor is it involved in any molecular mechanism of action relevant to therapeutics or diagnostics[4][5][6].
