Target intelligence / Profile preview
MATR3P2 is a pseudogene related to the matrin-3 (MATR3) gene. Pseudogenes are DNA sequences similar to known genes but typically non-functional and not expressed as proteins. MATR3P2 is not known to encode a functional protein nor to have any direct biological or therapeutic role. Pseudogenes of MATR3 are annotated on chromosomes 1 and X, and there is no evidence that MATR3P2 is involved in disease or therapeutic mechanisms[1][4][5].
